Love Tennis is a nationwide initiative to raise the profile of tennis and to promote the many ways people can get involved in the game.
Tennis Northern Region (TNR) comprises 24 directly affiliating tennis clubs and a further 19 Northland tennis clubs.
Tennis Hot Shots is the national starter tennis programme for New Zealand children. Smaller courts, shorter racquets and softer balls mean that kids can play a proper game of tennis from the moment they step on court.
Cardio Tennis is the high energy highlight of your week! It’s a fun, social, group tennis-fitness programme for all ages and abilities, delivering the ultimate, full body, calorie burning aerobic workout. Get out of the gym and onto the court!
Tennis Xpress is a fun, innovative way of teaching tennis to get players started. The aim is to get you playing the game quickly (within six weeks) by using lower pressure balls, flexible court sizes, simple scoring and simple technical teaching.
The Tennis Northern Junior Interclub competition is for players aged 8-18yrs who play weekly matches, for a club team. The Junior Interclub season runs from October to March.
The Tennis Northern senior interclub competition, offers Singles, Doubles & Mixed competitions, playing round robin matches every other week, with both Summer & Winter competitions.
Tennis Northern Region’s elite premier tennis interclub Competition (limited to 8 teams) with men’s & women’s competitions.
The Albany Indoor Leagues, played under cover at the Albany Tennis Park, offer competition opportunities for tennis players outside of interclub competitions.
A range of tournaments catering for all competitive players from regional holiday tournaments to ITF International Events, to Senior Championships.

The Albany Sports Park is the No. 1 tennis facility in New Zealand, home of the New Zealand Championships and a number of other prestigious events.
The Albany Sports Park’s facilities are second to none with 6 Indoor courts , 15 Outdoor courts plus a Pro Shop, Gym, Cafe / Bar, and Function Rooms.
The Forrest Hill Tennis Centre is the former home of Tennis North Harbour and the spiritual home of Interclub on the shore.
With 16 full-size Outdoor Tennis Courts and 5 mini courts for the Hot Shots programme, this fantastic facility is the home to a number of different user groups.
