Chris is the General Manager for Tennis Northern having taken over from David Guy. He has moved from his position at Northern Football and brings a combination of sports and corporate management to ensure Tennis Northern continues to thrive and provide support for clubs and players throughout the region at all levels.
He has played tennis for over twenty years and in 2017 competed at the World Masters Games, winning a gold medal in the doubles.
Helen joined Tennis Northern in November 2011. Originally from the UK, Helen now considers NZ home and works hard to ensure the smooth running of the TNR office whilst also being responsible the finance and accounts. She holds an Accounting and Finance degree and is CIMA qualified. Having worked in various business sectors in the UK, Ireland and France she brings a wealth of experience to the Finance and Office Manager role.
Having only really played tennis as a child, Helen really enjoyed and highly recommends the Tennis Express and Cardio Tennis sessions, a great way to meet people and keep fit.
Nick is no stranger to NZ, a North Shore boy, he attended Westlake Boys School and played in squads here at TNR under Jeff. After spending a number of years in the UK, Nick has returned to NZ to coach at TNR. Nick has been coaching for 17 years and is a registered C.C.A. performance coach. As well as coaching he is a C.H.E.K Exercise Coach, N.A.S.M Personal Trainer and has an A.U.T Diploma in Personal Training.
Former employment includes; running 2 high performance Academies in the UK, which included touring with the players to help them achieve world ranking points, working for the Lawn Tennis Association in the Talent ID Team and being a full time performance coach at Wimbledon as a talent scout. Through his work, Nick has produced 4 UK National Champions, 2 National Team Champions and 22 top 10/National ID players.
